It has been over a year since the release of FeelFish, and throughout this journey, we have remained true to our original mission: to serve professional novel writers, help you create higher-quality content, and make the writing process more efficient and enjoyable. ✨

That is why our product roadmap has never been about offering cookie-cutter templates or enabling writers to mass-produce "quick-fix" novels mindlessly. We firmly believe that AI can make creation better—and we equally believe that great content cannot be achieved without true human-AI collaboration. It requires writers to infuse their own inspiration and thinking, working hand in hand with AI to polish a masterpiece. 🤝

Of course, we also strive to make it easier for newcomers to produce high-quality work, but never through fully automated methods that churn out "digital slop." Our target audience has always been professional creators. Even if some power users build automated workflows based on FeelFish, those are customized solutions tailored to their personal creative processes—and this is precisely the capability we envisioned when we introduced "Custom Solutions" in version 3.0. 🎯

After the 3.0 release, Custom Solutions received widespread acclaim, and many excellent creative solutions emerged from the community. However, as a tool serving professional creators, we still have room for improvement. For instance, large-screen adaptation was not ideal, leaving screen space underutilized; and agents were not yet supported on mobile devices, preventing creators from working anytime, anywhere. That is exactly why we embarked on version 4.0. In this update, we have made extensive technical upgrades to better implement numerous features, truly establishing FeelFish as a professional novel writing workbench. 🚀

4.0 New Features Overview

📱 Mobile Remote Control Support

You can now use your computer as an AI brain and remotely control it from your mobile device to assist with your writing anytime, anywhere. The primary writing workbench remains on the computer, but when you step away temporarily, you can seamlessly pick up where you left off on your phone—checking current progress and the latest file content, as well as sending new instructions to have the agent optimize your content.

Click the bottom-left corner of the software to enable mobile control. Currently, mobile control is web-based, but a dedicated mobile client is coming soon—stay tuned!

🧩 Multi-Department Collaboration Support

Previously, only single-agent conversations were supported. Now, you can add multiple departments and run several agent conversations simultaneously! For example, while working with the built-in "Editorial Department" on your writing, you can also use a custom "Quality Assurance Department" to review earlier chapters, or create a new department to gather materials for future chapters. Each department can customize its own smart solution, allowing you to build a dedicated professional team tailored to your needs. 👥

We have also included a "Secretary Department"—it does not directly participate in writing, but it knows the software inside out. You can ask it any question, and it will even provide daily creative suggestions for you～📋

For large-screen users, you can now open the chat dialog in a separate window to make better use of screen space and boost your workflow efficiency.

✍️ Annotation and Citation

Great content cannot rely on AI alone—it thrives on human-AI collaboration. For instance, you can manually revise content and then ask AI to polish it further, or have AI generate a draft and then provide feedback for it to refine.

In 4.0, simply select any text to easily annotate or cite it in your agent conversations, allowing you to communicate your needs more precisely and make AI a truly capable assistant. 🎯

🔒 Enhanced Content Security Protection

Content security is a creator's bottom line, and losing your drafts can be devastating. That is why we have comprehensively upgraded our cloud storage and recovery features.

• For Advanced and Professional members, enabling cloud storage now triggers automatic sync—no manual action required as in 3.0. Content is synced to the cloud in real time, with all versions from the past 30 days preserved. We highly recommend turning this on ☁️
• For local changes on your computer, every modification is fully recorded. With the "Project Time Machine" feature, you can revert your content to any point in time, supporting both full-project recovery and single-file recovery. ⏳
• We have also integrated these capabilities into the Secretary Department—should any anomaly occur, you can ask the Secretary to help you quickly retrieve historical content and write with peace of mind～

🎨 More Personalized Customization

In addition to professionalism, we also care about creators' personalization needs. Since you spend long hours staring at a screen, the overall visual theme can significantly affect your creative flow. 4.0 introduces two new built-in themes and supports flexible custom themes. You can ask the Secretary Department to create a custom theme for you, and even generate images via AI to set as background images～🖼️
